Fantastic new programme for members

At this year's council conference the Federation proudly launched a computer programme for its members.The programme will provide all tenants groups in North Lanarkshire with: A free desktop computer, Free training on using computers from introductory to more advanced training, Free repairs and maintenance for a year, Free software including virus software and open office.

The Federation are proud to launch this programme. It is a real step forward for supporting tenant groups in North Lanarshire and helps local groups to effectively deal with other organisations and operate effectively.

The Federation were successful in obtaining funding from partner organisations MPC and Saltire. North Lanarkshire Council is providing training and publicity for the programme.

Groups need to apply for the computer and be a member of the Federation. For more information contact the office on 01236 435 844

We have just found out that as part of the restructuring programme, the majority of Housing Area Managers will be moving areas.

From 10th August 2009, the new Area Managers will be as follows:

• Airdrie - Brendan Sherry
• Coatbridge - David Dymock
• The North - Bob Brownlie
• Bellshill - Alison Clarke
• Motherwell - Lorraine Anderson
• Wishaw & Shotts - Stephen Llewellyn

Obviously, this has an effect on our review of the chairpersons meetings. We hope to go and visit all the chairpersons meetings in an area to speak to tenants about how they are working. This gives a slight delay to that process but hopefully we can be back up and running as soon as possible.
