Motherwell Towers to have a stronger voice under NLF

Motherwell Towers sub-group to start
The North Lanarkshire Federation held a hugely successful planning day on 25th June with tenant groups from the Motherwell Tower blocks. 21 delegates representing 10 tenant groups attended the event to have their say.
The day was held to speak to tenants about how the Federation could support tower blocks in Motherwell have a stronger voice. Delegates discussed the advantages and challenges of having a sub-group of the Federation and considered what was needed to form a Federation sub-group.
Delegates thought that the sub-group would provide tenants with an effective route to speak to decision makers and enable all tower blocks with or without a tenants group a chance to speak on key matters.
Tenants unanimously decided to form a subgroup.
A follow up meeting has been arranged for September 16th at 7pm in the United Services Club. The meeting is open to tenants living in Motherwell Towers only. Booking is essential. This meeting will consider the practical steps needed in forming the sub-group.
